Performing Arts Troupe
COMPANY is a performing arts troupe representing Actor’s Playhouse. It is a combination of a musical theatre review and a drama troupe. COMPANY provides entertainment at local festivals, schools, conventions, and other civic events as well as participating in theatre festivals and competitions such as Mississippi Theatre Association (MTA), State Fair Drama Festival, MSU DramaFest and Southeastern Theatre Conference.
Students will learn a choreographed review of favorite musical theatre songs and will perform at local festivals and events, as well as Actor’s Playhouse functions. Students will also audition within the group for shows presented for competition at MTA Community Theatre Festival and Theatre for Youth Festival and Individual Events Festival (vocal solo, duet vocal, monologue, duet acting, etc), State Fair Drama Festival and MSU DramaFest and participate in the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Atlanta. There will also be opportunities to perform at Actor’s Playhouse. Students will also receive training in voice, dance, acting, stage combat, technical theatre, playwriting and more.
Rehearsals will be held the first and third Monday of each month from August to May. Auditions for COMPANY are open to students entering 5th grade through college level. Additional rehearsals will be held for those participating in festival performances.
Requirements – Students entering 5th grade through college level are eligible to audition. Members are required to attend COMPANY Camp at Actor’s Playhouse August 2 – 7, 2010. Students are also required to attend Monday rehearsals from August to May.

$75.00 per month from August to May
Costume Fees - Boys - $150.00. Girls - $250.00
Camp Dues - $100.00
Competition Fees $45.00 to $100.00
Students may fund their tuition by selling program ads and participating in fundraisers
